IMMIGRATION DIGITALISATION The Chamber representatives on the National Labour Advisory Board advocated strongly for the private sector to be included in user acceptance testing prior to the new system going live. We are pleased to report that this testing has taken place on three sessions over three days this week and the Chamber attended along with relevant personnel from some of the large employers in Rarotonga.
The system is well designed, the Chamber rep made a few positive suggestions for some minor adjustments, and so did the HR reps who attended.
Overall, we are pleased with the new system which includes a payment gateway for direct on-line banking as well as the ability to use debit/credit cards for payment. We and our Members are looking forward to speeding up the visa application process and having less interventions if the information provided to MFAI is complete and correct.
