📣MSME Day Celebration!

The MSME Day Celebration this week, hosted by the Cook Islands Chamber of Commerce and Business Link Pacific, at the Edgewater Resort & Spa welcomed a lively gathering of local entrepreneurs and business leaders to celebrate the strength and spirit of small businesses in the community.

MSME is short for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and is observed every year on June 27th, as designated by the United Nations.

The event spotlighted the vital role MSMEs play in our economy, making up 90% of businesses globally and in the Cook Islands and fueling innovation, employment, and community resilience.

From heartfelt speeches, including a keynote address by Her Excellency Catherine Graham, New Zealand High Commissioner to the Cook Islands, to transformative success stories, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy and connection.

Guests heard first-hand how the Business Link Pacific program is helping entrepreneurs across the islands grow their businesses by providing online tools, tailored business assessments, and access to subsidies and grant funding.

The event also marked the official launch of the Co-Investment Fund (CIF) Grant—a new initiative designed to match SME investments and support larger-scale projects that drive growth, innovation, and long-term impact.
